I stole my husband from America and now we live in New Zealand with baby boy Nixon and our big boy Ethan + two furry dogs, Captain Louie Albano & Dash ({he’s second hand, but as good as new!}. I am a SAHM, trying to find a balance between doing what I have to do and doing what I want to do – which is write.  I love writing about our family, the mundane ins and outs of just BEING.  I also love pretty things, shopping and styling our home, which we have almost finished renovating. Life is simple, good and rich.  We are a very lucky little family xxxx.

  1. Have just discovered you, have only read your latest two posts but we sounds super similar. I have a one year old, don't drink coffee, and crave Monday's for the routine too – heh.

  2. Hi Melissa,

I just love your blog and FB page. You are so relatable and honest and I think you are great!
I am aware that you have promoted the Australian brand ModiBodi but I was wondering if you might be interested in trying an NZ brand.

My new business is Vivo Bodywear. I sell period/bladder leak underwear. It’s reusable, comfortable and absolutely amazing. I could send you two styles to try if you like. ?

After 20 years working for government, I made this huge career change in my mid-40’s (because I had a personal need – see more here, if you are interested – https://vivobodywear.com/blogs/news/am-i-too-old-to-make-a-career-change).

I thought that you may be a perfect match for two reasons:
    1. It’s a great time to do an article about tweens/teens going back to school and how period undies can take away some concerns they may have.
    2. You are in a great position to raise awareness about bladder leaks. 1 in 3 women experience bladder leaks post birth, but most don’t tell a soul. And so they often do nothing to fix it, when there are things they can do. If we can start to be more open about the topic, then more women can realise its ok to seek help.

Anyhoo, just wondering if you would like to know more. I have numerous articles that I can share with you if you are interested. Including:

    • The Nitty Gritty about period undies
    • Making the journey back to school easy for our teen/tween girls
    • 5 things we can do to help reduce period shame
    • How to reduce the shame surrounding bladder leaks

    Warmest regards

    Tamsin
