New Years Eve Day

New Years Eve Day

Santa/Nana/Grandad bought Ethan a bait catcher for Christmas, perfect gift?  yes.  He had pretty much been holding his breath in anticipation of catching those sprats; After he had discovered this ‘new species’ , he counted how many fish he had caught, only to find out

There were only two rules, stay home and don’t shop.  Easy;   Cherry toms are almost ready!  Eggplant….not so much Ethan loves his Candyland game from Meemee

Christmas Day at Mum & Dad’s

After breakfast we loaded up and headed out to the farm where Mum and Dad were hosting Christmas Lunch for the whole Godfrey clan.  We had such a mint day, the weather was awesome, the house was perfect for lunch for so many people, the kids had a blast playing together and Hadyn was there!  Pefecto!  Thanks Mum, you did an awesome job;

Santa got it just right!

Santa got it just right!

A 5.55am start saw us revelling in the Christmas spirit bright and early and it was worth it.  Ethan was so sweet and excited, he gave Louie, Dave and I our gifts before he even though about tackling the large mound under the tree. Ethan

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve

After a lovely traditional turkey dinner Ethan set out his cookies for Santa, and a carrot (just one) for the reindeer and headed quietly to bed.  Perhaps the hype of the last few days before Christmas had wore him out as he fell asleep so quickly….hmmm what time will wake-up be in the morning?

After successfully completing the introduction to The Essay, I know it’s 11.30am – you can’t rush these things – I am hungry.  I just opened the fridge door to a god almighty stink and was a little bit excited at the thought of a cleaning job to distract me from my writing.  But then I realized what it was, Dave had made me Tuna salad for my lunch, bless.  I couldn’t see it immediately as it was hidden under the two trays of mini-pizza bases he had whipped up for The Shore Party tonight while I was at the gym this morning.  How do you people live without a Dave like mine?  Seriously,  the man is amazing.

I went to a cafe the other day and couldn’t read the flavours of the herbal teas on the menu.  I had to order Raspberry because I had ordered it there before – but perhaps they had a new awesome fruity tea and I just
