Things I like Thursday

Things I like Thursday

My Michael Jackson memories.  There are so many, I grew up in the eighties so pop music was like crack to me.  Madonna, MJ, Tiffany, NKOTB if you hate it, then I probably loved it.  Christmas 1987 rolled around and Santa delivered the gift of vinyl –

When it’s time to party we will party hard….

Two weekends ago Dave, Bush and I set off for an adventure the likes of which  we weren’t prepared for and did not expect.  It was one of those parties we used to go to when we were at school, usually our parents didn’t know

Rainbow Shark

It may appear to be celebrating the diversity of gay sharks, but this picture Ethan coloured today is pretty big news in the Jack house.  Ethan doesn’t ‘do’ arty creative colouring like this.  He is a man of science, and prior to this sharks have always been grey, he has also never taken creative licence and drawn teeth on a picture that didn’t already have teeth, because they wouldn’t be just perfect.  I love this picture so much because he stopped worry about everything he knows about sharks and just decided to make something look ‘funky’ –  that’s what he kept saying,  ‘Mama, does my shark look funky?’ .  Damn right it does precious.

Mid-Winter Sales……and me

Mid-Winter Sales……and me

Project 365 * Day 15: Happy 4th of July!

Dave and Ethan got out and celebrated Independance day at Mustangs Saloon in Newmarket. They ate hotdogs and fries, drank Budweiser (Ethan had ‘American’ Sprite) and loved all of the US memorabilia. Ethan told me it was only for Americans but I would be allowed

From me: Where are you travelling wilbury?  I am starting to worry.  Please send an american spirit smoke signal this way so I know you are still with us.  Miss you, it has been sunny and warm since you left but supposed to start raining

After last nights whiny chocolate-loving post, Ethan returned home from his soccer game this morning with the Player of the Day trophy AND a box of 20 bars of Cadbury fundraising chocolate!  I am yet to sample it, but the box assures me it’s made in New Zealand!  So, awaiting my confirmation, it appears that this years stock of fund raising bars could be stock made from the old recipe!!!  Can anyone say stockpile?

Weekly Wrap-up: Friday 3rd July 2009

Such a good week, and such a bad week.  Quite the juxtaposition I know, imagine how I feel!  On one hand I want to run around the neighbourhood (ok the farm) and scream my good news to the cows and Hermione the pig and the
