  • My little gingernut made ginger crunch – with a little bit of help from his big brother ♥︎ Everyone in our family loves to cook but Dave and I can’t always supervise when the mood strikes. The boys took one for the team whipped up this epic Feisty Ginger Crunch – I think this is my fave @huntergatherergourmet baking mix yet! Using minimal, whole food-focussed ingredients is what makes these mixes so different and SO yum, the boys only had to add oil, maple syrup and butter to the ingredients in the box! They can easily be made dairy free, too – check the

  • Ad.........and then we fell in to bed exhausted and slept the sleep of people who had done crazy, fun full-on Rotorua-y things for 3 days! @aurarotorua was a perfect option for us, right in the centre of town but quiet and restful. Walking distance to the lake front and Eat St but well appointed with free WiFi, Sky, heated pool and mineral pools if you just feel like staying in. The numerous socially conscious initiatives and sustainable practices that are woven into the Aura way of doing things are both commendable and also, super cool. Heck yes I

My facials give me away every time ‍♀️ Swipe across and check out how chill Ethan was on the Swoop Swing @velocity_valley and how I was equally cool, calm and collected - we were only hurtling towards the earth at 130 kmph, no biggie! I was made for this adrenalin junky life, obviously, whereas my children are just ridiculously unfazed by everything We finished off our epic Rotorua Roadie at Velocity Valley, an adventure playground perfect for blowing off some steam before we hit the road back to Aucks. As my shaking legs managed to stand after the incredible

This is a family trip, we have two boisterous boys and the moments of serene, blissful soaking are few and far between when they have the opportunity to let loose in a pool. I was so relieved when we arrived at  @waikitevalleythermalpools  and there were kids there, having fun! If you want the relaxing geothermal /mineral pool experience but have kids that make any relaxing experience somewhat out of reach, this could be the spot for you and your family! Epic sharing plates, pictured are the Chargrilled Sirloin and Fennel Salt Crusted Pork Belly followed by the Warm Chocolate & Peanut Butter Fudge Cookie, Salted Caramel, Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, Popcorn & Pretzel Praline.     3 days ago by melissajack_ Ad: 25 minutes out of Rotorua is  @waimanguvolcanicvalley , the world's youngest geothermal valley, cheers to the Mt Tarawera eruption in 1886. Dave had to work throughout the morning so the boys and I headed into the still, serene native forest to get our adventure on. It was drizzly and grey and this was no biggie at all. If you forget your umbrella there are plenty you can borrow from the reception/cafe. The trails are mint so it wasn't muddy or slippery either. The 4km walk is an easy one, Nixon, 7yrs, didn't struggle at all and the sights along the
