Dave got snapped frolicking in the sprinkler!
I don’t really need to say much, the pictures really show how awesome the morning was! Exlporing North Head at 9am was a great idea, there was no-one around.
After a super fun week of celebrating Ethan’s 3rd birthday we have reached the end of the party (sigh….). It began on Tuesday with a special day at Kindy. The lovely teachers painted all of the children’s faces, made play-dough birthday cakes and Ethan handed out cupcakes made by Mum and Lolly-pops to his friends at the end of the morning; Then came Wednesday, Ethan’s actual birthday. He got a huge surprise when after opening all of his presents, we blindfolded him and took him outside where Dave threw him onto his new trampoline!
Ethan at kindy, ready to deal out the cakes, unfortunately he scoffed back 4 before I noticed!
He was still half asleep as he checked out his inside prezzies…
…..then came the blindfold…
and the best present ever! (I know I’M really enjoying it!)
New clothes from Meemee, Nana Vickie and Aunt Tompie
Birthday morning: AT the bus stop with best mate Dan
But the most beautiful beach, 5 minutes walk from our house, oh bliss! The last pic is one of my most favourite pics I have ever taken!
A rainy Wednesday was perfect for an outing to the Auckland museum with Jesse and Scarlet:
While I was up north on the girls trip, Ethan and Dave spent Saturday at the Auckland Zoo. They had such a primo day, the weather was great and the animals were pretty frisky from all accounts!
After a beautiful weekend up North at Mangawai Heads with some lovely ladies (thanks Ro!), I returned home to a stunning day and my two boys playing in the back yard. After some work in the vege garden and a nap for Ethan we headed to Long Bay Beach for a late afternoon swim.
The unthinkable has happened, Ethan’s favourite ride-on-plastic-fantastic motorbike has done it’s last jump, completed its last lap around the yard, and had it’s last crash into Mum’s garden. The rear axle has blown out, we are still waiting for an insurance quote at this stage, but I think it might be written off.
On the bright side, Ethan is really enjoying fixing it, then riding it until the wheels fall off, and then fixing it again. It’s the small things……
