Oh yes. This week has been all kinds of good. I survived the Boat Show, Ethan has been delightful {YES!!!}, there has been time and funds for shopping and some projects have been completed. AND DAVE COMES HOME TOMORROW!!!!!!! 6 long weeks are over. Ethan

Sometimes the coolest finds are the ones you didn’t know you were looking for. I stumbled across this bespoke necklace on twitter and snapped it up. It’s made from a NZ penny and half crown and is amaze. A Tale of Two Coins by Pallina

Before I left the house I had to put a jacket on.  It’s that kind of weather, changing every five minutes and messing up my hair.  BTW, I am actually counting down the minutes until my hair appointment tomorrow afternoon, my roots are hideous.

Anywho, back to why we’re here.  I like this outfit, it’s warm, colourful and comfy and as promised I have worn some different shoes!  The bag was an un-expected little splurge.  I admired it at full price and the next time I visited it was on sale!  Hoo-ray.

By the way, I LOVE Wardrobe Wednesday.  It really makes me get a little more inventive with how I dress, plus, a little more forgiving of myself when it comes to my own self-image.  It gets easier each week and I’m definitely becoming less self-conscious about sharing what I wear to you three avid readers!  Thanks Miriam!

I had a much needed day off today and loved every minute of it. I lazed in bed and was treated to breakfast cooked by Ethan! He whipped up the best half-cooked crumpets sans butter I have ever had. My little boy truly amazed me

Saturday Love

Saturday Love

Ahhh. I’m writing this on a quick respite from our big trade show. 12 day work stretch…….the hard work will be over tomorrow though!

Viaduct tram

Loving this scene at the viaduct yesterday morning.  Some smart tourist had parked their whopping great camper with it’s back end hanging out over the tram tracks.  Just what downtown Auckland needs on the morning of a huge trade show, a tram traffic jam!

Auckland Viaduct

Loving having a moment to enjoy Auckland’s beautiful waterfront.

More backyard fishing

Ethan’s lifelong passion for fishing is in full swing at the moment.  Loving catching little glimpses of him in full narrative,  engrossed in his inner wildlife tv series.

Albino Catfish

Of course the fish obsession requires us to visit at least one pet store per week and plan his future tropical fish tank.

Loving the troll series of stickers that are popping up all over the place at the moment.  How true is this one?

I love wetas.  Oddly they do not bother me at all compared to my near-paralytic fear of cockroaches.  We found this beautiful guy on our gate and after a quick inspection Ethan released him onto a big tree in the yard.

I wholeheartedly believe that no matter what is happening in your life, there is always something you can be thankful for..no matter how simple it is.

Another update from Dave, love this one! Hello my beautiful wife, Well after I got done talking to you this morning I packed my bag and made a plan. The plan was to go to see Jim Morrison’s grave and then make my way back

I am in love with the early spring range in at Country Road – how odd? This shirt combines three of my favorite things; subtle neon, print and hippy-floaty-ness. A trifecta of Melissa! Available here

Wardrobe Wednesday nearly didn’t happen this week as I am at the beginning of a 12 day work stretch, I have a BIG trade show over the next four days, and practicality is winning over style at the moment, but this outfit pulled together well enough to share.  It’s so working mummy isn’t it?  Goal for next week is to wear some different shoes.

Good Thing Bad Thing | Dave Jack, International man of Mystery

Dave Jack has been away for a month today. Obviously this is not ideal when you have a family but you have to look on the bright side. Good thing: Dave has been to Frankfurt, Rome, Milan, Barcelona, Lyon, Grenoble, Paris and Zurich has just
