Things I’m Loving | Matakana, Skateboards & Long Weekends

How nice would it be too have a sunny  l o n g  weekend?  No wind?  It would be delish.  But at least there was yesterday.  Mum and I set off to visit my Nana and check out the new retail area in Silverdale.  Turns

I am SO excited about this project, I can’t stop thinking about how awesome it is, how easy it is, how absolutely meaningful it is and how much we are going to enjoy putting it together with Ethan. Of course I discovered it on Create

What I Wore | Jeans and Sandals

I am just itching to get into summer clothes, or at the very least some springy outfits but the weather is just not co-operating.  I am loving cuffed skinny jeans at the moment, at least I can wear some summery shoes and keep my layers and merino up top!

Be sure to visit Miriam who hosts Wardrobe Wednesday…..and Kelly who is one of my new fave fashion bloggers from right here in NZ!  Yah kiwi.

Sun.Day

Sun.Day

Haha, that is ever so optimistic in the wake of the weather bomb that kept me up last night.  Loud; swirling wind refused to take note of bed time.

It’s the last day of the holidays and my little home-body refuses to budge.  He is quite content here, we have jumped on the tramp, he is playing with his paper fish collection, the showery weather can’t even entice him out to the movies.  Staying home is just fine with me too.

Oh the irony.  Mid way through this post there was an accident and we were off to the hospital for the afternoon.  My poor Mumma had fallen whilst walking our dogs and busted her head open!  She is all stitched up and spent a day at home today recovering somewhat and getting more sore really.  You just never know how your day is going to pan out do you?

Saturday Love

Saturday Love

Officially the longest short week ever, but it’s over! Life is feeling slightly more normal as we gave settled into a routine with Dave home again. Ethan and the dogs have calmed things down to a dull roar around the man of the house and

Yummy! | Popsicle Milkshake Swirls Giveaway {closed}

Our family LOVES sampling and reviewing products so last week we were so excited to receive a delightful {and beautiful!} package of Popsicle Milkshake Swirls to try.  We are mad ice cream fans, who sneak up to our local 4 Square far too often.  I justify

What I Wore | High Low Skirt

What I Wore | High Low Skirt

This outfit consists of three pretty basic staples; my ancient denim jacket, a black satin cowl neck blouse and a neutral skirt. What pulled it together were the accessories. I have been trying to pay more attention to my jewellery, scarves and shoes as they can dress up {or down} an outfit and allow me to wear wardrobe basics many different ways. Versatility is definitely Mummy’s little helper!
I finally got my awful hair taken care of in the afternoon, we tried something different and included a semi-permanent all over and in-between the 137 foils! {Yes I have a tonne of hair}.

PS.  If anyone is feeling charitable (ie PLEASE HELP!), I have been extra brave and made my first vlog as an entry in a Shopping Blogger contest.  You can view my entry here

If you would be so kind as to take a moment, register on the Women’s Weekly website and then leave a comment under my entry it would help me win! Thanks x

Dave. Is. Home. Huzzah! Ethan planned a disco to celebrate. At 5.30pm we met in the lounge, E served drinks, he made sure everyone {Dave, Mum and I} had chips and dip, and then we played games. Hide and seek, indoor boomerang champs, limbo. We
