I have had my Canon DSLR for 4 years now (which means in Melissa years that its time to get a new one HINT) but anywho, four years of happy snapping has been great but I still don’t know how to take a great picture.  By this I mean, I don’t know how to shoot in manual mode.

So this week, I have done some online tutorials and READ the camera manual and not used the auto modes at all.  It’s coming along, there is just SO much to remember, exposure, aperture, f-stops, shutter speed…….

But here are a couple of unedited (boring) shots that I think turned out pretty well -;

We picked up our bedside table today so our new bedroom suite is now complete. Especially since it has been christened by VB, Pinot Gris and is now the nocturnal charging station for the DS, the PSP, baby laptop and my iPhone. Ridiculous.

E’s gorgeous little country school has been studying ‘The Olden Days” this term, so after the requisite trip to MOTAT the whole school dressed up in period costumes and spent the day not doing school work!  Love it.  How cute is he?
